Call for mentees| Rural NEET Youth Network

Dear all,

The Rural NEET Youth Network has just opened a call for mentees for two 12-month mentoring programs for PhD students and Early Career Investigators (ECI).

The mentees will receive training and support to develop their own national/international research projects.

One of the programs is dedicated to NEETs and Public Employment Services. The other program is dedicated to Rural Youth Participation. Community psychologists will be welcome in both programmes.

Check out the full information in this link.

Portraits in CP across Europe – Call for participants

There is a personal history behind every community psychologist but these stories are rarely told in public. Students, for instance, often find it very useful to learn about how one “enters” community psychology and develops a commitment to it. Yet there has been little interest in generating venues where community psychologists can share their stories. I believe there is a lot to learn from diverse personal stories told by community psychologists across Europe. I am interested in compiling personal stories of community psychologists and introducing them to a wide audience under the title, Portraits in Community Psychology across Europe. This initiative has been endorsed by ECPA and the portraits will be presented on the ECPA web site. The plan is simple:

  • I will invite participants to answer 5 questions via email.
  • These will be questions that invite short answers.
  • Each participant will have two weeks to respond.
  • The compilation will be in English – for now.
  • There will be room for creativity, photos, songs, videos and possibly more.

If you identify as a community psychologist and you would like to share your story, please let me know via email at serdardegirmencioglu at gmail.com. I will get back to you quickly.

Mapping community psychology in Europe – Survey

We ask all people professionally working in the area of psychology (academics, students, people working in the field of community psychology, etc.) to cooperate and answer the questions contained in this survey on community psychology in Europe. Our aim is to grasp the “state” of community psychology in Europe. This work will help us to get to know our colleagues, the topics and research they deal with, and to build a good network. We will collect what will emerge from this fact-finding survey in written form that we will share with you.

We hope you are willing to spend about 10 minutes completing the survey. Due to tight deadlines, we kindly ask you to complete this survey by March 31, 2021. If you have received this survey from different sources, please complete it only once. The survey has been prepared by ECPA Board.
